The Original Problem: The original layout had an island perpendicularly dissecting the kitchen which made it awkward to navigate the space and just felt smaller. The other issues encountered with this layout was that there was not enough counter space nor was there enough storage options as this particular open shelving concept was insufficient. The ceilings are 12 feet high for which we designed the cabinets to accommodate and accentuate the enormity of this space.
