“ A little about me: I learned a lot of about interior design and space planning since I was around 12, when my parents bought their first investment property. We were typical middle class family. We did not have a big renovation budget after acquiring this triplex which forced us to DIY many things- before that became trendy or an HGTV program. My father actually built a small deck comprised of rail tiles he found in a rail yard. I have no idea why he was hanging around a rail yard. scrap yard. My mother knocked discovered exposed brick behind a wall that needed repair, so she just removed it. They forced me to paint and help them put up a ceiling. Even though I pursued other disciplines within the design field, I returned to what I witnessed and learned as a child. I particularly have a passion for repurpose and reuse of materials. Scrap yards and trash days in high income neighbors are 2 of the best resources for repurposing unique finds.
